Shelly M. Ossana, PhD

I am a licensed psychologist and have been practicing for more than 20 years. I work with adult clients and have specialized training in working with couples, childhood trauma, and the application of cognitive/behavioral techniques to changing core beliefs and patterns that interfere with present day functioning.

I also work with the following issues and problem areas:

-couples
-depression
-anxiety
-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
-grief
-dissociative disorders
-interpersonal issues
-gay and lesbian issues (including couples work)
-life transitions
-family of origin issues

I view therapy as a collaborative endeavor that strives to help clients develop the skills, resources and greater self awareness to achieve their desired goals.   In order for therapy to be effective, I believe a felt sense of connection, safety, and respect are essential ingredients for my clients.
